• Mission

KASE is a non-profit organization chartered by entrepreneurs, engineers, corporate executives, venture capitalists, and other professionals with roots or interests in Korea.

The mission of KASE is to foster and support a growing network of Korean Americans interested in starting or playing key roles in professionally managed high growth companies in the United States. To support the network, KASE sponsors and promotes seminars and events to facilitate the professional development, networking, and mentoring of its members.

    Events

On a regular basis, KASE organizes seminars and speaker panels that address issues ranging from “how to start a company” to “how to take a company public”. In some cases, these events will spotlight guest speakers who will reflect on their experiences, obstacles, and lessons. In other cases, KASE will offer panels and seminars to focus on particular entrepreneurial topics. Examples of past and future topics include:

    • Evaluating a start up opportunity
    • Launching a new company
    • Raising a round of financing
    • Identifying key operational hurdles
    • Exit Strategies

    Networking

Entrepreneurs are constantly faced with the challenge of meeting talented individuals and openly exchanging ideas with others who share their interests and passions. Likewise, those interested in joining or investing in young companies find it difficult to hear about and evaluate start ups. Therefore, KASE will also foster community and support through regular social gatherings such as happy hours, picnics, and day trips. By facilitating networking opportunities, KASE hopes to:

    • Bring together entrepreneurs and investors
    • Identify mentors for guidance and support
    • Help engineers and managers learn about new start up opportunities
    • Create lasting friendships among the KASE members
